From the moment he landed in Manila to his fan meeting, Korean star Byeon Woo-seok felt the overflowing show of love and support from Filipinos.
Byeon Woo-seok (변우석) is the current “it boy” of the K-drama world not only in South Korea but also in other countries including the Philippines.
He became very famous overnight after starring in the popular Korean drama “Lovely Runner” together with actress Kim Hye-yoon.

With the success of the drama, Byeon Woo-seok launched his “Asia Fanmeeting Tour: Summer Letter” to meet fans in different countries.
In the Philippines, fans’ dream to see Byeon Woo-seok came true at his fan meeting on June 22 at the New Frontier Theater.
Before coming to Manila, he attended the Prada Spring/Summer 2025 Menswear Show at the Fondazione Prada’s Deposito in Milan, Italy.

Hundreds of fans welcomed him at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) when he arrived on June 20. The following day, he met Philippine media at a press conference.
On show day, the venue was teeming with fans who were eagerly waiting to see Byeong Woo-seok in person.
He opened his fan meeting by performing “Loveholic.”
“Lovely Runner” brought the spotlight on Byeong Woo-seok who debuted as a model in 2010. He made his acting debut in 2016 in the drama “Dear My Friends.”
About “Lovely Runner,” Byeon Woo-seok said they filmed it for 10 months and with the two months that it aired, “it’s almost one year that I have been [living] my life as Sun-jae.”

In the segment “Every Moment with Sun-jae,” Byeon Woo-seok reenacted scenes in “Lovely Runner” with fans.
When asked how he flirts, he said, “I’ve never actually flirted intentionally.”
If he were to catch a cherry blossom, he said he would wish “good health to the people that I love and more success in the job that I do.”
In the Manila-cation Balance Game, Byeon Woo-seok was given two options to choose from. On his preferred travel style, he picked visiting famous tourist spots over hotel staycation. He also picked no pictures while traveling over no music while traveling, and a place famous for being haunted causing sleep paralysis over a place with a huge cockroach.
In Filmography Mission Bingo, Byeon Woo-seok needed to choose from his drama projects and do different missions including riding a small bicycle and playing sipa.
He answered questions sent by fans in the Q&A Talk Summer Letter. One fan asked if he had the power of time travel, where would he go in his past and would he change something in his past.
“Right now, I don’t want to go back anymore. If I go back, I might not be able to meet Sun-jae and all of you,” he said.

A fan video that was shown during the event made Byeon Woo-seok cry. He was also presented with a cake on stage.
“Thank you for coming to the Philippines and into our lives,” the message in the video read.
When he was asked how he felt about the video, he cried again.
“I was really not feeling well today. I was a little sick. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy this moment with you because of my health. But because I’m very thankful that you gave me so much energy and because of that I had so much fun. That’s why I cried because of your great love,” he said.
As he made his farewell to fans, he said, “I am very, very happy and this is truly a fan meet that I will never forget.”

Byeon Woo-seok sang "I Think I Did" from the soundtrack of “Lovely Runner”.and "Sonaki" ("Sudden Shower") as confetti rained down inside the theater. He caught a confetti and made a wish.
When he left the venue, Byeon Woo-seok waved to fans and rolled down the window of his car to greet them.
