Highlight of the visit was the inauguration and consecration of the newly constructed Santo Niño chapel inside Camp Ola.

Police Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, PRO-5 spokesperson, said that construction of the chapel began on September 11, 2023 when Marbil was still the director for comptrollership of the PNP.

The PNP chief received 17 patrol cars, one Toyota Hilux, and four K9 dogs donated by Sorsogon Gov. Edwin Hamor.

"These vehicles are to be distributed to 15 municipal police stations, with each Type B and C station receiving one Toyota Vios. Type A, Bulan MPS, and Sorsogon City Police Station will each receive two Toyota Vios while Sorsogon PHQ will receive the Toyota Hilux," Calubaquib said.

The four K9 English Cocker Spaniel narcotics dogs will be donated to the Sorsogon Police Provincial Office (PPO) in support of the PNP's intensified campaign against illegal drugs.

In his message during the turnover ceremony, Hamor said that the initiative is part of the 7K program of the province of Sorsogon under the "Katrangkiluhan" or peace and order program.

Marbil turned over 50 5.56mm Galil basic assault rifles  to PNP-Bicol chief Police Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon.

These new firearms which came from the PNP Logistics Division will enhance their firepower, Calubaquib added.

"With these enhancements in mobility and firepower, PRO-5 is committed to continuing its professional efforts toward achieving a safer and more peaceful region," Calubaquib added.

Marbil reminded  personnel of PRO-5 during the traditional talk to personnel to maintain discipline and integrity in their duties. He emphasized the importance of helping each other as one family within the PNP organization.
