Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar assured her constituents of the peaceful conduct of plebiscite for the territorial boundaries of the city’s 20 barangays on June 29.

Aguilar said the city government had already coordinated with the Las Piñas City Police under the supervision of Col. Sandro Tafalla to ensure the safety and security of the ballot boxes and close monitoring of the process with the Commission on Election (Comelec) during the conduct of the plebiscite.

For her part, Vice Mayor April Aguilar stressed the importance of the participation of city residents to vote for or against City Ordinance No. 1941-23 Series of 2023 that sets the territorial boundaries of the 20 barangays in the city.

The vice mayor said the ordinance aligns with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ (DENR) cadastral survey completed in March 2015.

She also reminded residents about the gun ban being implemented in the city until July 6, as well as the liquor ban on June 28 to 29.
