DAVAO CITY – Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Chairman Leo Tereso A. Magno said two prominent individuals have been appointed to the MinDA Board of Directors.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. appointed Purita Arsenia I. Bian as representative from the Mindanao business sector and Guillermo P. Torres Jr. as representative from the Mindanao academic sector on Tuesday.
Bian, also known here as Joji Ilagan Bian, is the founder and chairperson of the Joji Ilagan International School.
Torres serves as president and chief executive officer of the University of Mindanao.
Magno said he is confident that the appointments of Bian and Torres would benefit Davao City, the Davao region, and Mindanao.
“Their extensive experience and dedication to the development of Mindanao will be invaluable as we work together to drive progress and prosperity in the region,” Magno said.
Magno said he is looking forward to their contributions as he believes their leadership will significantly enhance the MinDA’s efforts to foster sustainable growth and development for Mindanao.
