4 persons wanted for man's slay in Makati arrested in Manila

Four individuals, including two minors, who beat and stabbed to death a man out of jealousy in Makati City last December, were arrested in Sta. Ana, Manila, the Manila Police District (MPD) announced on Tuesday, June 25.
Police identified the suspects as Gedrick Rodillas and Aj Atienza, both 18 years old.
They said the two minors involved in the killing were rescued.
Operatives of the Warrant and Intelligence Section of MPD Sta. Ana Police Station (PS-6) served the warrant of arrest to the suspects for the crime of murder issued on June 13, 2024 by Judge Cristina Sulit of Regional Trial Court Branch 140, Makati City, with no recommended bail.
According to MPD, the stabbing incident happened on P. Ocampo Street in Barangay La Paz, Makati City at 8:20 p.m. on December 1, 2023.
Investigation disclosed that Erica Barcarcel, the partner of the victim, discovered that the victim had a female text mate before the stabbing incident. The two agreed to meet at a gasoline station at Vito Cruz, P. Ocampo, Barangay San Antonio, Makati City.
The victim met two women identified as "Shenshen" and "Asley."
Based on the closed circuit television (CCTV) video, a group of men later approached and mobbed the victim. He sustained three stab wounds.
Police found out that Shenshen was Rodillas' girlfriend and that the suspect saw the conversation on her cellphone prior to the stabbing incident.
Out of jealousy, Rodillas forced his girlfriend to meet the victim and called his friends to help him confront the man.
