Zamboanga City mayor turns over 12 aluminum boats for La Niña response

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Mayor John Dalipe led the turnover of 12 aluminum boats on Monday, June 24, to various beneficiaries here for La Niña response.

Beneficiaries were flood-prone Barangays Cabaluay, Curuan, Guiwan, Putik, Sangali, Santa Maria, Talisayan, Tetuan, Tugbungan, and Tumaga and the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO).

The turnover and blessing were held after the flag-raising ceremony in front of the City Hall.

Dalipe said that this is part of his administration’s efforts against La Niña.

La Niña will reportedly be experienced by this city in July, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said.
