Seafarers to enjoy free ride at MRT-3, LRT-2 on Jan. 25

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will be providing free ride to all seafarers at the Light Rail Transit (LRT)-2 and the Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-3 in celebration of the Day of the Filipino Seafarer on Tuesday, June 25.
In a statement, the DOTr said the free ride will be from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the LRT-2.
For the MRT-3, the free ride will be from 5 a.m. until the end of the day operation.
Seafarers are advised to show a valid Seafarer’s Record Book (SRB) or the Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID) to enjoy it.
The DOTr said the Seafarer’s Identification Booklet (SIB) will also be a valid proof.
