In the past week alone, the PNP had 111 anti-illegal drug operations that led to the arrest of 123 drug suspects. More than 6,000 grams of shabu and 52,000 grams of marijuana were discovered by the police. A total of 22,340 marijuana plants were also uprooted.

The total estimated value of the seizures for the past week was P52 million, Abalos said.

The DILG chief commended the PNP, particularly the Calabarzon Police Regional Office (PRO-4A), Drug Enforcement Group (DEG), and Central Visayas Police Regional Office (PRO-7) for being the “top performing” units.

“Congratulations to these units for their outstanding dedication and effectiveness in maintaining law and order, and for their significant contributions to our ongoing efforts against illegal drugs,” Abalos said.
