Police Capt. Joelan Vinson, deputy chief of the Kabankalan City Police Station, said the suspect arrived at the Kabankalan City Jail to visit her detained boyfriend.
Vison said she underwent inspection as part of protocol for jail visitors.
A police officer found a piece of pandesal in a plastic.
The pandesal – a popular morning viand or snack – was inspected and the lawman discovered a sachet of suspected shabu worth P6,800 stuffed inside.
Vinson said that according to the suspect, her boyfriend asked her to bring the contraband on her next visit.
The man, who was under the station’s watchlist, was arrested early this month for a drug offense.
The woman will be charged for illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
