
Three wanted persons facing murder, libel and illegal possession of drugs were arrested in separate operations conducted by police of Las Piñas and Pasay Cities on Friday, June 21.
The arrested suspects were identified as alias Sendong, listed as Top 1 most wanted person under district level f or murder case; alias Ann Yabot, 42, facing illegal possession of drugs and alias Jacob, 23, for two counts cybercrime prevention act of 2012.
In Las Piñas, Col. Sandro Tafalla, city police chief, said Sendong was arrested at around 4:15 p.m. at his residence in Barangay Manuyo Uno, Las Piñas City.
Tafalla said Sendong was arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section and the Station Intelligence Section virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Victor Ramirez Aguba of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 255 on March 13, 2024 with no bail recommended.
He said the suspect was immediately detained at the police custodial facility pending for legal proceedings.
In Pasay City, police chief, Col. Samuel Pabonita said two wanted persons were arrested in the city, alias Ann Yabot and Jacob in separate operations.
Pabonita said Ann Yabot who was ranked as number seven wanted person under station level was arrested at around 1 p.m. at Maginhawa Street, Pasay City.
He said the suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Edilawasif Tapsiril Baddiri of Pasay Regional Trial Court, Branch 115, Pasay City, on May 24, 2023 with no bail recommended for her release.
The second suspect, Jacob, was arrested for two counts of cybercrime prevention act of 2012 at around 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Pasadena and FB Harrison Street, Barangay 70, Pasay City.
Jacob was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Gina M Bibat-Palamos, of Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 111 on May 15, 2024 with recommended bail of P20,000 for each count.
