Barangay tanod drowns at sea

PLARIDEL, Quezon – A barangay tanod or watchman drowned in the sea of Barangay Tanauan here on Friday morning, June 21.

Police identified the victim as Edwin, 56, a resident of Barangay Concepcion, this town.

The victim was wearing a brown T-shirt, black shorts, and without slippers when he was found.

The victim’s body was found floating on the sea by Edwin Calingasan, a construction worker.

Police said the victim was last seen extremely drunk and shouting while walking alone to the seashore.
