Man wanted for rape arrested in Las Piñas City

A man facing two counts of rape was arrested by members of Las Piñas Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and Station Intelligence Section (SIS) on Friday, June 21.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said Las Piñas City police chief Col. SandroTafalla reported the arrest of the suspect identified as alias Marven,30.

Tafalla said the suspect, who was tagged as SPD’s Top 6 wanted person, was arrested at around 5:00 p.m. at the Hall of Justice, Las Piñas City Hall Compound in Brgy. Pamplona 3.

He said the suspect was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Nerina C.N. Anastacio Mendinueto of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 199 on April 30, 2024 for two counts of rape with no recommended bail.

The suspect was immediately detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
