Over P570,000 worth of shabu seized in Teresa, Rizal buy-bust op

A total of P578,000 worth of shabu was seized from a high-value individual wanted for illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation on E. Rodriguez Avenue in Brgy. May-iba, Teresa, Rizal on Thursday, June 20.

The suspect was identified as "Pao Pao," 24, and a resident of Barangay San Roque, Teresa, Rizal. Pao pao is listed as a High-Value Individual in the Rizal Police Provincial Office’s Drugs Watchlist.

Aside from the illegal drugs, the suspect also yielded a hand grenade and the drug bust money.

He is now detained at the Teresa Municipal Police Station and will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police Regional Office (PRO) CALABARZON Regional Director PBGen. Paul Kenneth Lucas commended the police operatives for the successful arrest of the suspect and also expressed his gratitude to the community for collaborating with the local police to end the proliferation of illegal drugs and other criminal activities.

“I want to congratulate our drug operatives from Teresa MPS. This accomplishment is a huge success for the community of Teresa, Rizal. Rest assured that our police operations against illegal drugs and other criminality will continue until we achieve a drug-free community here in CALABARZON,” Lucas said.
