President Marcos said that the new Cavitex road projects realize his administration's promise to transform the lives of millions of Filipinos by systematically easing traffic flow in the greater Metro Manila area.

Marcos said this as he led the groundbreaking of the CAVITEX-CALAX Link in Kawit, Cavite, and the CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 3B in Parañaque City, and the inauguration of the CAVITEX C5 Link Sucat Interchange on Friday, June 21.
In his speech, the President said the public-private partnership (PPP) projects were not just roads but were connections that bring Filipinos closer than ever.
"We are creating a nation where Filipinos may easily access and traverse our communities and have a comfortable and productive time as they do it," he said.
According to Marcos, the new Cavitex road projects were the results of a great deal of hard work, thorough planning, and collaborative efforts between the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), the Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation, and the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC).
He also thanked everyone involved in this accomplishment from the architects to the construction workers.
"You are the reason why we can turn blueprints into actual reality," he said.
"I assure you that your work, your patience, and your sacrifice will leave a lasting impact on our country and on our people," he added.
Meanwhile, Marcos thanked the Filipinos for their patience, understanding, and support while the government and the private sector worked to complete the said projects.
"As I always say, unity is at the heart of these undertakings, and we have come this far because we have worked together in building these structures," he said.
The Cavitex C5 Link is a joint project that aims to provide faster and more efficient regional movement of people and goods in the country. Once completed, this can cater to 50,000 vehicles per day. It will also reduce travel time to Makati and Taguig from Parañaque City, Las Piñas City, and Cavite by 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Cavitex Segment 2 Sucat Interchange is a 1.9-kilometer expressway that will connect Cavitex Radial Road 1 (R-1) from the Parañaque Toll Plaza to the Sucat Interchange, with a capacity to serve 12,000 motorists daily. This project aims to reduce travel time from Cavitex (Seaside Road to Zapote Segment) to Sucat Road and vice versa by 10 minutes.
On the other hand, the Cavitex Segment 3B is a two-kilometer expressway project connecting Cavitex in Parañaque City to C5 Road in Taguig City, completing the 7.7-kilometer Cavitex C5 Link. It is a connecting segment with no interchanges and is expected to serve around 8,000 motorists daily.
Prior to the Cavitex and its C5 Link Segment, President Marcos first led the groundbreaking ceremony of the Cavitex-Calax (Cavite-Laguna Expressway) Link Segment 4 Extension Project that spans approximately 1.3 kilometers. It is a dual two-lane expressway designed to establish a connection between Cavitex and Calax to support national development and provide efficient transportation facilities for the eco-zones in Cavite and Laguna.
