Members of the Parañaque City Police arrested two of the four suspects who shot and killed a drug police asset while he was eating in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City.
The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the arrested suspects as Aaron Umpad, 41, and Abrix Acebuche, 23.
The police investigation showed that the victim was eating with his friends in an eatery when four individuals on board two separate motorcycles arrived and shot him repeatedly, killing him instantly.
The SPD said operatives of the Parañaque City Police immediately created a tracker team to arrest the suspects. Umpad and Acebuche were nabbed along Kawayanan in Barangay Don Bosco.
Umpad was positively identified by witnesses as the one who shot the victim through the skull logo sticker on the helmet he was wearing.
Police recovered a .45 caliber pistol together with live ammunition from the suspects. The duo also yielded a dagger, a fan knife, a Japanese katana, and two handheld radios.
Umpad and Acebuche were charged with murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions, and illegal possession of deadly weapons.
The police is still conducting a manhunt operation against their cohorts.
