The Las Piñas City Council discussed various proposals for urban development, community welfare, and financial management during its regular session last Tuesday, June 18.
Las Piñas City Vice Mayor April Aguilar said a notable agenda item during the session was the endorsement from the Office of the City Mayor requesting ratification of contracts for the Health Facility Enhancement Program aimed at improving local health centers around the city.
Aguilar said the council also reviewed a request to create new plantilla positions in the Office of the City Treasurer and Business Permit and Licensing Office to enhance administrative efficiency.
She said a letter from the United Vendors of Las Piñas Public Market was also reviewed regarding construction concerns.
The vice-mayor said the council considered requests to waive penalties and interest on business and transfer taxes for several entities and individuals in its efforts to provide financial relief to the community.
Aguilar said the council also approved the applications and clearances for various development projects and endorsed contracts related to public works, reinforcing its commitment to infrastructure development.
