Over 10,000 families to benefit from theme park-inspired mass housing in Misamis Oriental

More than 10,000 families are expected to benefit from the theme park-inspired mass housing project in Tagoloan town of Misamis Oriental, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) disclosed on Sunday, June 2.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar said the project, located in Barangay Sta. Ana, is composed of several 12-story buildings with commercial shops and is considered as a model township project in Mindanao.
"This will be our model township Pambansang Pabahay project here in Mindanao. It has a nice, theme-park look open park with green and mountain scenery around," Acuzar said.
The Valley View Township project is being implemented by Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), headed by President and Chief Executive Officer Federico Laxa.

Under the mass housing program, Acuzar is advocating for the allocation of substantial open spaces for parks, playgrounds and other common amenities.
During his visit in Mindanao, Acuzar also inspected a second housing project now under construction in Tagoloan which broke ground last month.
He was joined by Undersecretary Avelino Tolentino III, Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Service Director Mario J. Mallari and DHSUD Regional Office 10 Director Ariel Abragan.
