CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – The body of a 52- year-old woman allegedly murdered by her husband was discovered in an abandoned house in Barangay Villaflor, San Isidro, Isabela on Friday, May 31.

Police Major Grandeur Tangonan, San Isidro chief of police, said residents found the decomposing body after foul odor emanated from the house.
Investigators theorized that the victim was killed using hard objects three days before her body was discovered.
The victim’s husband voluntarily surrendered to the police after she was found.
The suspect who said a family misunderstanding was the reason why he killed his wife is now under police custody and faces a parricide case.
Police withheld the identities of the victim and the suspect in deference to the family.
