Binalbagan Catholic College summa cum laude places second in CPA licensure exam

BACOLOD CITY – A summa cum laude graduate of the Binalbagan Catholic College (BCC) in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental placed second in the May 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA).

Joseph Mag-aso Jr. garnered 90.50 percent rating in the examination.

The BCC, in a Facebook post, lauded Mag-aso, who finished Bachelor of Science in Accountancy last year, along with four other CPA board passers – Harren Gabriel Patano and Ren Leuter Aride, who are both magna cum laude graduates, Eunilyn Martinez, and Jewel Loise Esposo.

In a statement, Negros Occidental fifth district Rep. Emilio Yulo III commended Mag-aso for his achievement. “You are one of those who will serve as an inspiration to the graduating students,” he said.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said that 3,155 out of 10,421 examinees passed the examination.
