The Manila local government will implement a road closure and re-routing of vehicles for the Civic and Military Parade in line with the celebration of the 453rd Araw ng Maynila on Monday, June 24.

The following roads will be closed starting 5 a.m. on Monday:

• Stretch of Onyx Street from A. Francisco Street to Zobel Roxas Street;
• Stretch of Florentino Torres from Nakar Street to San Andres Ext.;
• Stretch of Sagrada Familia from Nakar Street to Pasig Line; and
• Stretch of Zobel Roxas Street from Nakar Street to Pasig Line

Authorities advised the public to take the following alternate routes:

• Vehicles from Onix Street intending to utilize Zobel Roxas Street shall turn right or left to A. Francisco Street to the point of destination.
• Vehicles from Osmeña Highway intending to utilize Zobel Roxas Street shall turn right to Kamagong Street or turn left to Nakar Street to the point of destination.
• Vehicles from Delpan Street intending to utilize Zobel Roxas Street shall turn right to Pasig Line to the point of destination.

They said the closing and opening of the affected roads will be based on the actual traffic situation. 

Meanwhile, the Manila Police District (MPD) asked the motorists to stay posted on the traffic updates to avoid traffic congestion.
