MANGALDAN, Pangasinan – The remains of an Overseas Filipino Worker from this town who died in a fire in Manguf, Kuwait on June 12 arrived on Tuesday, June 18.

Mayor Bona Fe de Vera Parayno condoled and gave financial assistance to the family of the victim, Engineer Edwin Petilla.
Petilla’s remains arrived in the country on June 17 with the help of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
The local government of Mangaldan, through Ernie Cuison, migrant desk officer, in collaboration with the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), assisted in the repatriation of Petilla’s body to his family.
His partner, Ronalyn Villarmino, witnessed his last moments during a video call while the fire was raging.
Villarmino is pregnant with her first child with Petilla.
