People warned on fake FB page of Bacolod mayor

BACOLOD CITY – The public, especially the people here, have been warned against a poser of Mayor Albee Benitez on Facebook.

“It has come to our attention that there is a fake page impersonating Mayor Albee Benitez. Please help us report this page to Facebook,” said the Public Information Office (PIO) in an advisory on social media on Wednesday, June 19.

The poser reportedly added and chatted some people on social media.

The PIO stressed that it is important that people do not engage and follow the mayor’s fake social media page.

It urged the public to be cautious and only follow the official page of Benitez for accurate updates and information.

The official Facebook page of Benitez is a verified account with 237,000 followers.
