Laborer killed in motorcycle crash

BACOLOD CITY – A 39-year-old laborer died after his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle in Barangay Isidro, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Tuesday night, June 18.

Police identified the fatality as Jose Lumanog of Barangay Patun-an, Calatrava.

Police Major Wilfredo Benoman Jr., Calatrava police chief, said that Lumanog allegedly hit the motorcycle driven by 32-year-old Cleoford Cabaluna of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, which was on its way to the highway.

Both motorcycles swerved and the drivers fell to the ground.

They sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital where Lumanog passed away and Cabaluna, a steelman, is recuperating.
