DICT launches eGov PH super app in Sorsogon


LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) launched the eGov PH super app and eLGU system in Sorsogon on Tuesday, June 18.

The eGov PH is a mobile application that simplifies transactions between the government and citizens while the eLGU is a systems that can be accessed through the eGov app allowing people from all over the Philippines to access public services of their city or municipality, anytime, anywhere, DICT-Bicol officer-in-charge regional director Rachel Ann Grabador said.

“With a vision to build a connected nation, this platform integrates the multi-sectoral government through a one-stop online system that will minimize economic cost for the citizens,”  Grabador said.

The event was attended by local chief executives and representatives of local government units (LGUs) and government agencies in Sorsogon province.

They affixed their digital signatures to a commitment wall during the launching.

DICT Undersecretary for Support Services Heherson M. Asiddao said that all the LGUs in Sorsogon have pledged support for the program.

"Lahat ng LGUs ng Sorsogon represented ngayon hapon kaya masayang masaya kami dahil nagbigay na po sila ng pasasalamat at suporta bilang part ng program ng DICT (All the LGUs of Sorsogon were represented and we are happy and thank them for their support)," Asiddao said.

He added that there are 24 applications available in the app and these were created by DICT.

The app will also be launched on June 25 in Masbate, July 1 in Catanduanes, July 5 in Camarines Sur, and last week of July in Camarines Norte.
