7 injured as 2 vehicles collide in Ilocos Sur

CAMP PRESIDENT QUIRINO, Ilocos Sur – Seven persons were injured in a collision between two vehicles in Barangay Poblacion, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur on Tuesday, June 18.

Police identified the injured as Rosario Ped, 50, driver of a Starex van, and his passenger, Rudy Florendo, 54; and Renz Fernandez, 24, driver of a black Mercedes Benz, and his passengers Adrian Orata, 18; Dan Michael Tomaneng, 18; Samuel Pascual, 18; and Raiel Wilson Cabug, 19.

Investigation said the Starex van was about to turn right when it collided with the Mercedes Benz.

The victims were injured due to the impact of the collision and taken to the Ilocos Sur General Hospital-Gabriela Silang in Barangay Tamag, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

Police said that both drivers were drunk when the accident happened.
