The WSFP’s fourth surgical mission in Iloilo that cost a total of P13 million focused on surgeries mostly for children as pediatric surgical specialists are not readily available and affordable to low-income families.

“With the support of MORE Power and other sponsors, we provided free services as surgeons and anesthesiologists,” said WFSP President Dr. Lester Suntay.

“We couldn’t have achieved this without our funders. We are particularly grateful for our partnership with MORE Power,” added Suntay.

Each surgery can cost anywhere from P300,000 to P400,000.

The mission was backed by the Iloilo provincial government and the Iloilo city government.

“We are very happy to assist and facilitate this surgical mission. We hope it will continue every year,” said MORE Power President and Chief Executive Officer Roel Z. Castro in a statement.
