Suspected drug pusher dies in shootout

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A suspected drug pusher was killed in a shootout with the police during a buy-bust operation in Mampang, this city, on Saturday, June 15.

The fatality was identified as Jabar Pidlasi, alias Jabal, 38.

Police said Pidlasi jumped out of the window of his house to escape lawmen after the operation was announced.

Pidlasi ran towards the direction of a group of operatives, triggering a shootout in which the suspect was killed.

Two of the suspect’s companions, Mohammad Rieza Kuhutan Timpahan, 41, and Aliyasar Mohammad Kahal, 40, were arrested during the operation.

Police recovered suspected shabu worth P870,400 and a loaded .45 caliber pistol from the suspects.
