KOJC ‘restores’ grounds a week after police serve warrants of arrest

DAVAO CITY – The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) conducted a comprehensive restoration to their sacred grounds on Monday, June 17, a week after police served a warrant of arrest against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and five others on June 10.

Dinah Tolentino-Fuentes, KOJC legal counsel, said in a statement that all the locations targeted were sacred, requiring a complete reconsecration of their grounds, emphasizing that the police did not only violate the Constitution but also the sanctity of their place.

Sister Eleanor Cardona, KOJC executive secretary, said the KOJC community intends to recover and renew the affected lands to their original sacredness and integrity.

Cardona said the re-sanctification involves cleansing their sacred grounds from defilement, with their ministers and missionaries meticulously applying a blessed oil and engaging in prayer and worship.

“These grounds are sacred. It is the house of God, where prayers are always offered,” Cardona said, adding that the KOJC witnessed the rain, symbolizing the cleansing and purification of the polluted grounds built by the sacrifices of every faithful member, starting with Quiboloy.

Everyone in the KOJC compounds, including the missionaries and members who witnessed the incident, prayed while being anointed with blessed oil on the foreheads, hearts, and pulses. The ministers also wiped the areas clean, removing the shadows of violence and fear.

The KOJC said the act signifies deliverance from fear, anxiety, and trauma caused by the alleged disturbing attack and a recommitment to the spiritual work of the Kingdom Nation. It also aims to ward off evil spirits and restore the spirit of love, joy, and peace, the KOJC added.

The reconsecration occurred in significant locations, including Jose Maria College (JMC), ACQ College of Ministries, Apollo Air Hangar, and the King Dome. The KOJC community offered their special prayer for healing and restoration.

Similar ceremonies of rededication and reconsecration are being held at the Covenant Mountain and Paradise Garden of Eden Restored, Glory Mountain in Tamayong, KOJC in Sarangani, and the KOJC Full-Time Workers’ Retreat House in Samal.
