Singaporean low-cost carrier Jetstar Asia plans to increase its flight offerings between Clark International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport by October.
After restarting operations at Clark, Jetstar announced its intention to ramp up to five return services per week, up from the initial four.
On June 16, Jetstar resumed services between Clark and Singapore, providing passengers with increased travel choices to the Garden City.
Operating a fleet of Airbus A320s, Jetstar will initially provide four return services weekly, with plans to increase to five return services starting from Oct. 18, 2024. This expansion is set to deliver over 90,000 low-fare seats per year between the two destinations.
Geoffrey Lui, Jetstar Asia chief operating officer, said the resumption of flights aligns with their plan to improve regional accessibility through this strengthened route.
“Clark serves as an important hub for both business and leisure travelers, and we are excited to offer more travel options for our customers,” Lui said in a statement.
“With so many reasons to visit Clark, our crew and our passengers have been looking forward to our return to this popular destination so it’s great to add Clark back to our network,” he added.
Noel F. Manankil, President and CEO of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (Lipad), which oversees Clark International Airport, shared similar thoughts.
"Today, we welcome Jetstar Asia back to Clark International Airport,” Manankil said. “This eagerly anticipated event is not just a moment of celebration, but a showcase of the relationship history between Clark International Airport and Jetstar Asia.”
