ILOILO CITY – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) bared its one-week accomplishment in a report released on Monday, June 17.

Police Col. Bayani M. Razalan, IPPO officer-in-charge, said he was satisfied with the week-long operations against drugs, wanted persons, illegal gambling, illegal fishing, illegal quarrying, and loose firearms.
The IPPO seized 962.20 grams of shabu worth more than P6.5 million from 23 drug suspects in 15 anti-drug operations from June 10 to 16.
Twenty-three wanted persons, 15 of whom were in the Top 10, were apprehended.
Four persons were nabbed and 26 loose firearms – 20 without licenses and six with expired licenses – were recovered.
Three persons were caught in the campaign against illegal gambling.
The IPPO, through the Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat, arrested 46 fishermen and impounded 21 fishing vessels for illegal fishing.
Police nabbed six drivers and impounded six vehicles for illegal quarrying.
Razalan cited operating units for their achievements. “These accomplishments reflect the tireless efforts and dedication of our personnel,” said Razalan.
