Endurance challenge rider killed in collision

AGDANGAN, Quezon – A 27-year-old rider participating in an endurance challenge died after his motorcycle collided with a commuter van on the provincial road in Barangay Salvacion here on Sunday morning, June 16.

Police identified the victim as Kim, single, of Barangay Sinagawsawan, Del Gallego, Camarines Sur.

Investigation said Kim, a participant of the 1st Guinayangan Motorcycle Endurance Challenge, was on his way to Unisan, Quezon when his motorcycle with license plate 824ERP overshot a curved part of the road and collided with an oncoming commuter van with license plates DAD8276, driven by Jayson, 27.

The victim was taken to the Unisan Medicare Hospital where he was declared dead by Dr. Joshua Benedict Gaa.

Police said an amicable settlement is being discussed by the victim’s family and Jayson.
