CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police caught 62 wanted persons in manhunt operations in the Cordillera region from June 8 to 15.

The Police Regional Office Cordillera-Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said the Benguet Police Provincial Office arrested 21, the Baguio City Police Office, 15; Apayao PPO and Kalinga PPO with seven each, Ifugao PPO with five, Mountain Province PPO with four, and Abra PPO with three.
Ten suspects were most wanted persons on the provincial level, four on the municipal level, and one on the regional level.
Seventy-one municipalities in the region and eight police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.
No crimes were reported in 25 municipalities in Abra, seven in Apayao, 12 in Benguet, 11 in Ifugao, 10 in Mountain Province, and six in Kalinga.
In Baguio, Police Stations 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 had no crime incidents.
The PRO-Cordillera said there was a 6.98 percent decrease in index and non-index crimes as indicated by the Peace and Order Indicator (POI) and a 0.15 percent decrease in the POI-Average Weekly Crime Rate compared to the same period last year.
It recorded a 78 percent crime clearance efficiency and 60 percent crime solution efficiency this week and credited these to the diligent efforts of police officers.
