Restobar employee hurt in P13.2-M Bacolod fire

BACOLOD CITY – An employee was injured in a fire that hit the kitchen of a restobar in Barangay 5 here on Saturday, June 15.

Fire Supt. Jenny Mae Masip, acting city fire marshal, said the fire razed five business establishments.

Three structures were destroyed and two others were partially damaged.

Masip said the blaze left an estimated P13.2-million worth of damage to property.

The fire started around 1:46 p.m. immediately spread to neighboring establishments since the partitions were made of light materials, Masip said.

Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire. 

Fire out was declared at 2:16 p.m., according to Masip.
