P3.2-M marijuana uprooted in Kalinga, Benguet

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet â€“The Police Regional Office-Cordillera located clandestine marijuana plantations in the provinces of Kalinga and Benguet on June 15.

Marijuana worth a total of P3.2 million was destroyed.

In Kalinga, 15,000 fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) valued at P3 million were found in Batangay Loccong, Tinglayan.

One-thousand marijuana seedlings and 1,170 FGMJP valued at a total of P274,000 were discovered in the municipalities of Bakun and Kibungan.

Sufficient samples taken to the Regional Forensic Unit-Cordillera for examination.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation to identify their cultivators and find adjacent plantations.
