Police Brig. Gen Agustus Placer, Police Regional Office-12 director, personally supervised the police operation that was launched to serve the arrest warrant against Quiboloy and company for child abuse and human trafficking.
The operation coincided with the service of the arrest warrant against them at the KOJC ministry compound in Davao City and Samal Island on June 12.
Malungon police chief Giovanni Ladeo said there was no resistance on the part of Quiboloy’s followers when policemen went inside the KOJC compound here in the presence of Malungon Mayor Maria Theresa Constantino and other local officials.
Constantino said Quiboloy’s followers were very cooperative with the police which conducted the search within the compound.
However, Quiboloy was nowhere to be found.
Kaye Laurente, Quiboloy’s legal counsel who was around during the operation, said Quiboloy has not visited the area for the past several months.
Quiboloy reportedly sought refuge at the KOJC community here which prompted officials to verify the veracity of the information.
Constantino said that Quiboloy never coordinated with local officials when he visited their community ministry here.
