P3.3-M shabu seized in drug sting

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Police apprehended two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 1 here on Friday, June 14.

Police Col. Ledon Monte, Quezon police director, identified the suspects as Mohamad, 48, and Babylyn, 25, residents of Barangay San Fernando, Malvar, Batangas.

These high-value individuals in the city police drug watchlist yielded five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing a total of 165 grams and valued at P3.3 million, a digital weighing scale, a sling bag, and a car.

“This is the result of our strenuous campaign against illegal drugs to ensure our community is safe from the elements that bring harm to our area,” Monte said.

Suspects face drug-related charges.
