Baguio City to enhance digital connectivity in partnership with Phil-Tower Consortium

Authority was granted to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, representing the city government of Baguio, to enter into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Phil-Tower Consortium, Inc. (PhilTower), a leading telecommunications shared infrastructure developer in the Philippines with an expertise to improve the quality of telecommunications in the Summer Capital.

The MOU outlines a comprehensive strategy for enhancing digital connectivity, encompassing the deployment of high-speed broadband networks, the establishment of smart city initiatives, and the promotion of digital literacy programs as it strives to keep pace with advancements in telecommunications and ensure that residents have access to reliable and efficient connectivity and improving the quality of life.
