A man was found dead inside a van along Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in Sampaloc, Manila, on Friday morning, June 14.
The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the victim as Redentor Galura, around 50 to 60 years old, a resident of Tondo, Manila.
Authorities said that at around 8:45 a.m. on Friday, Ricky Cureg, a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcer, noticed a white van that had suddenly stopped at the intersection of Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard and Pureza Street.
Upon checking the vehicle, the traffic enforcer noticed the unconscious body of Galura in the driver's seat, prompting him to immediately call for assistance from the Lacson Police Community Precinct (PCP).
The Lacson PCP then requested aid from the personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), who rushed Galura to the Ospital ng Sampaloc for medical treatment.
However, authorities said that Galura was declared dead on arrival at around 9:49 a.m.
