Five-month-old baby killed in Bohol motorcycle smashup

CEBU CITY â€“ A five-month-old baby was killed in a two-vehicle smashup in Calape town, Bohol on Thursday morning, June 13.

Police said the baby boy was being carried by his father while they were aboard a Honda Click motorcycle driven by his 21-year-old mother.

Investigation by the Calape Municipal Police Station said the mother tried to overtake another vehicle but collided with a Suzuki motorcycle on the opposite lane.

The baby and his parents were thrown off the motorcycle because of the impact. The other motorcycle also collided with a tricycle after the initial impact.

The baby was taken to the Calape Mother and Child Hospital where he was declared dead.

The couple was confined in a hospital in Tagbilaran City where the mother remained unconscious as of posting time.
