CEBU CITY – An emergency responder was killed and three others were injured when the ambulance they were riding overturned in Argao town, southern Cebu on Thursday afternoon, June 13.

Police identified the fatality as Jules Campoy of Biasong, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
Injured were John Aripal, a nurse; Ronel Adriatico, another emergency responder, and the ambulance driver, Victor Calasang Jr.
Police said the ambulance was supposed to catch a boat on their way back to Dipolog after transporting a patient to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center here.
The ambulance was traveling on the national highway in Barangay Tulic when one of its tires burst. The driver lost control of the steering wheel that caused the ambulance to overturn.
Campoy was taken to the Isidro C. Kintanar Memorial Hospital in Argao where he was declared dead.
