146 hired on-the-spot in Parañaque's Independence Day mega job fair

A total of 146 jobseekers were hired on the spot during the mega job fair conducted by the city government of Parañaque in celebration of the country's 126th Independence Day on Wednesday, June 12.

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the 146 jobseekers who were hired on the spot were those from the 533 city residents who joined in the job fair held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.   

Olivarez said 73 companies joined in the event that offered a total of 7,688 job vacancies. 

The mayor explained the job fair is a continuing program of the city's Public Employment and Services Office (PESO).
