PAGASA: 36 areas at risk of 'dangerous' heat indices on June 14

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has reported that 36 areas could still face a "dangerous" heat index on Friday, June 14.

PAGASA said a 47 degrees Celsius (°C) heat index may be experienced in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, followed by 46°C in Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Aparri, Cagayan; and Catarman, Northern Samar.
NVSU Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; ISU Echague, Isabela; Baler (Radar), Aurora; Virac (Synop), Catanduanes; Masbate City, Masbate; and Roxas City, Capiz may experience a 45°C heat index.
Meanwhile, is it possible in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Bacnotan, La Union; Daet, Camarines Norte; Guiuan, Eastern Samar; and Maasin, Southern Leyte to experience a 44°C.

PAGASA added that Sinait, Ilocos Sur; MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte; Calayan, Cagayan; Basco (Radar), Batanes; Casiguran, Aurora; Alabat, Quezon; Calapan, Oriental Mindoro; Legazpi City, Albay; and Borongan, Eastern Samar may have a heat index of 43°C.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Pasay City, Metro Manila; CLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Sangley Point, Cavite; Ambulong, Tanauan Batangas; Mulanay, Quezon; Cuyo, Palawan; Juban, Sorsogon; Mambusao, Capiz; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Siquijor, Siquijor; Catbalogan, Samar; and Tacloban City, Leyte may experience a 42°C heat index.
