ILOILO CITY – Police seized 1.1 kilos of suspected shabu worth P8.1 million from 23 drug suspects in buy-bust operations in Western Visayas from June 11 to 12.

Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director, cited the operating units for their achievement.
“One of the factors of success of your operations is the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our personnel,” Wanky said.
“Despite of our feat, let’s continue to look for the remaining individuals involved in the illegal trade. It is our goal to put them behind bars in order that our streets are free from the menace of illegal drugs.”
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) confiscated 724 grams of shabu valued at P4.9 million, the bulk of which was from an operation conducted in Balasan town, Iloilo province on June 11.
The Balasan Municipal Police Station recovered P 4.7-million shabu from a fishpond caretaker, alias Ronnel, who also yielded a 12-gauge shotgun.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 arrested nine out of the 23 drug suspects.
Other successful anti-drug operations were conducted in Capiz, Bacolod City, Iloilo, Iloilo City, and Negros Occidental.
