New community: Rizal provincial gov't breaks ground for new condo units for 420 families
Rizal Governor Nina Ynares announced on Thursday, June 13, that the provincial government led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of seven condominium-type buildings that can accommodate 420 families in Montalban, Rizal.

Montalban Mayor Ronnie S. Evangelista said that each of the seven buildings can accommodate 60 families.
The housing project is being constructed in Barangay Burgos in Montalban, and Ynares said that one of the beneficiaries are the families in Montalban, which they called "Taga Likod Center.”
“Ang mga kababayan natin na taga Likod Center kung tawagin sa bayan ng Montalban ay magkakaroon na rin sa wakas ng kani-kanilang mga sariling tahanan matapos ang ilang dekadang pamomroblema (The residents living in Montalban's Likod Center will finally have their own homes after several decades of facing problems),” Ynares said.
Evangelista said that the housing project is not only residential but also a community.
“Hindi lang po ito residential, kundi we are actually building a community. Meaning, kumpleto po ito ng mga amenities,” the mayor said as he elaborated on the amenities included in the project.

He said that it will have sports facilities such as a basketball court, a swimming pool, a parking lot, a playground, parks, and mini markets, among others.
Meanwhile, Ynares cited former Mayor Dennis "Tom" Linco Hernandez for purchasing the lot, where the housing project is being constructed, and Evangelista, who forged an agreement with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and Pag-IBIG for the project.
The project is under the DHSUD's Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH), a program of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
The ceremony was attended by Evangelista and joined by Antipolo Mayor Jun Ynares, DHSUD USec. Gary V. de Guzman, and Pag-IBIG Manager Jackie Constantino.
4,200 condo units in San Mateo
Checking on another part of the program of President Marcos, Ynares, together with House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Congressman Zaldy Co, Congressman Jojo Garcia, DSHUD Secretary Jerry Acuzar, Mayor Omie Rivera, and Bokal JP Bautista, also visited the construction of 17 condo-type buildings in Barangay Guitnang Bayan II in San Mateo, Rizal.
Ynares said that the building has 4,200 housing units.
During the inspection, Ynares took the opportunity to convey to their guests their plan and long-standing request to the national government to help them have new bridges and roads in Rizal, saying it will speed up the flow of traffic.
“Madami man po tayong naipatayo gamit ang sarili nating pondo tulad ng mga tulay at mga bagong kalsada, kasama na ang mga road widening, hindi pa din ito sasapat dahil sa bilis ng progreso at pati na din ng paglago ng population (birth rate and migration rate) dahil madaming pinipili na dito manirahan sa ating lalawigan (Although we have built a lot of structures with our own funds such as bridges and new roads, including road widening, it will not be enough due to the speed of progress and also the growth of the population because many people choose to live here in our province),” she said.
“Ika nga, more new roads and bridges would mean easing of traffic, entice more investors, create more jobs and progress sa ating lalawigan at mga mamamayan (As what they say, more new roads and bridges would mean easing of traffic, entice more investors, create more jobs and progress in our province and people),” she added.
