CEBU CITY – Three persons were arrested when law enforcers raided a drug den in Barangay Labangon here on Wednesday night, June 12.

Arrested were Rey-Jan Jalo-ag, the alleged maintainer of the suspected drug den; Jay Pateño, 31, and John Marvel Punay, 30.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas and operatives of the Cebu City Police Office’s Station 10 seized four packs of suspected shabu weighing around 12 grams with an estimated average market value of P81,600.
In a separate anti-illegal operation, an 18-year-old man who was suspected to be the hitman of drug personalities was arrested in Barangay Sawang Calero.
The suspect, who was identified as a certain Mata, and his alleged cohort, Gero, 27, were arrested after selling illegal drugs to a poseur-buyer, police said.
Packs of suspected worth P96,400 were seized from the two men.
A .45 caliber pistol was also recovered from the two suspects.
Police said Mata admitted that he started as a gun-for-hire when he was 14-years-old and was paid P25,000 to P30,000 for every transaction.
Mata allegedly disclosed that he was hired to kill individuals who failed to remit proceeds of illegal drugs.
