Emotions ran high during the interview when Piers broached the topic of Kevin's current living situation. The actor, visibly distraught, struggled to hold back tears as he shared his reality.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, Kevin shared that his home in Baltimore is up for auction. He is still grappling with the decision of where to live next, having resided in Baltimore since 2012.
When asked why the property was foreclosed on, Kevin said: "Because I can't pay the bills I owe."
Morgan: Are you facing bankruptcy?
Kevin: Been a couple of times when I thought I was gonna file. But we've managed to sort of dodge it, at least as of today.
Morgan: How much money do you have?
Kevin: None .... You have some sense of legal bills. I still owe a lot of legal bills that I have not been.
Morgan: You're actually in debt?
Kevin: Yes.
Morgan: Do you mind me asking how much you owe?
Kevin: It's considerable. Many millions. The house itself is worth many millions.
Morgan: What are you gonna do?
Kevin: Get back on the horse. Get back on the horse.
Kevin is a multi-awarded who received Oscars for Best Supporting Actor in the movie "The Usual Suspects" (1995) and Best Actor in "American Beauty" (1999).
BBC News reported that last year, the actor was found not guilty of all charges of sexual assault against four men between 2001 and 2013 after a trial in London. In 2022, a US court dismissed a sexual assault lawsuit against him.
Kevin, 64, is currently involved in a civil trial over an allegation, which he denies, that he sexually assaulted a man in 2008.
