Tondo fire displaces 16 families, leaves P300K damage
Over 16 families were displaced by a fire that gutted around eight houses in Barangay 108, Capulong Road, Tondo, Manila on Thursday morning, June 13.

The Manila Police District (MPD) reported that the fire started from the house of Ronualdo Oligario at around 10:38 a.m.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) immediately raised the fire to the first alarm at 10:44 a.m. and escalated it to the second alarm at around 10:49 a.m.
Firefighters were able to put the fire under control by 11:24 a.m. and extinguished it at around 12:06 p.m.
Authorities reported that there were no reported injuries in the fire which caused an estimated P300,000 damage to properties.
Some witnesses claimed to have heard a bullet explosion during the fire coming from one of the burning houses.
The affected families are currently staying at the covered court in Barangay 108.
Arson investigators are still investigating the cause of the fire.
