With the dissipation of the low pressure area (LPA) near Mindanao, hot and humid weather is expected across the country in the next 24 hours.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday afternoon, June 11 that Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, or warm winds originating from the Pacific Ocean.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, can also expect partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned the public about potential flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
In the PAGASA’s Tuesday morning public forecast, Weather Specialist Rhea Torres said the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” may return by the weekend and bring rains to the western parts of the country.
