Two men killed, woman critical in riding-in-tandem attack

Two men were killed, one of them a senior citizen, while a woman was critically wounded after a riding-in-tandem attacked and indiscriminately fired at them in Purok 6, Barangay San Isidro, City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM), Bulacan on Sunday, June 9.
In a report sent by the CSJDM police to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the two fatalities were identified as Benedicto Castulo, 63, and Joel Nicolas, 46, both of the said village.
Initial investigation conducted by the city police showed that at around 5:30 a.m., the victims were talking when all of a sudden, two men wearing black jackets arrived and fired at them with a 45-caliber pistol.
Witnesses said that after the shooting, the suspects quickly fled onboard a motorcycle towards the direction of barangay Paradise in the city.
Castulo and Nicolas died on the spot while Charry Fe Castulo, 57, who was seriously wounded, was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The Bulacan police are now conducting a manhunt operation against the suspects while the investigation into the motive for the shooting of the victim is ongoing.
