The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) partnered with the US Embassy to streamline document verification procedures and enhance efficiency.

The US Embassy heavily relies on these PSA records for various purposes, including visa issuance, federal benefit eligibility, and consular services such as issuing Consular Reports of Death Abroad (CRODA).
To address the need for secure and efficient verification of documents, the PSA and the US Embassy have formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The MOU, signed on May 3, 2024, solidified the commitment of both agencies to work together to facilitate requests for civil registry documents required by the US Embassy.
PSA said the partnership aims to expedite the processing of applications, particularly those related to visa applications as well as investigations into fraud and crimes.
By establishing clear procedures and commitments, the PSA said they seek to prevent fraud, facilitate international travel, and promote lawful migration.
Through this collaboration, in-person requests and online applications for civil registry documents will be made more accessible to meet the needs of individuals requiring documentation for various purposes.
